Run the PlayM2 installer on your Windows PC, then open the launcher.
Select your game
Choose your Mafia II Classic installation when the launcher asks.
Connect to Freeroam
Let updates finish. Select PlayM2 Freeroam in the server list and press Connect.

Which version of Mafia II do I need?
PlayM2 currently supports the tested Steam edition of Mafia II Classic on 64-bit Windows 10/11. You need your own installed copy. Definitive Edition is not supported.
How do client updates work?
The launcher checks for client updates before you join. Download PlayM2 once and use the launcher for subsequent sessions.
Can I host my own server?
Not at this stage. PlayM2 Freeroam is operated by our team, and server binaries are not publicly distributed. Community hosting is a future possibility, with no release date announced.
Is PlayM2 an official Mafia product?
No. PlayM2 is an independent multiplayer project. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by 2K, Hangar 13, or Take-Two Interactive.
Is this a finished release?
No. PlayM2 is in active testing. Features and stability are still being improved; your early feedback helps shape the platform.
